MATERIALS OF BLACKNESS: TARP FLAG 2025
A bold reimagining of the Pan-African flag, this work introduces a central slit and fringe detailing—activating the piece as a site of movement, improvisation, and ritual. Crafted from industrial tarp, it resists fragility while inviting vulnerability. Both gesture and object, the flag reclaims public space with personal truth.
Material: Tarp (polyethylene)
Size: 12”x9”
